Specially designed plastic devices which capture moisture through crystals made up of calcium chloride salts. This substance causes the absorption of moisture in the air which optimizes the humidity levels. Bolaseca moisture absorbers do not emit any type of fumes, gas or vapor whatsoever.

The tablet / pouch / loose crystals / absorbs excess moisture from the air which causes crystals to become saline. The saline solution is dissolved at the bottom of the container.

Ideally used for spaces up to 215 sq foot; such as kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, garages, storage spaces, caravans, etc. We also produce containers for larger spaces up to 430 sq foot. Please note – the containers should be placed in safe areas away from children and pets. Ideally used in areas with minimal air flow.

Depends on the moisture in the air and area space where it's placed. It can last up to 3 months during the winter season and 2 weeks during the summers, high humidity. Keep in mind that the shorter duration time of the tablets is due to excessive levels of humidity, which the tablet is absorbing. The product has been tested in set conditions with temperature of 25 º C and at a constant humidity level of 70% the duration of the test lasts: 408 hours (17 days).

Every household produces water evaporation, approximately 5 to 10 liters on a daily basis; due to daily household activities as cooking, bathing, ironing, drying etc. The mixture of poor ventilation and filtration due to poor insulation in walls and roofs causes high levels of humidity.

Hygroscopic crystals which feature calcium chloride, that is able to absorb moisture from the atmosphere and transform it in water, by decreasing the level of humidity until it's at an optimum level recommended without drying the atmosphere (40% - 50% relative environmental humidity).

This process occurs when the temperature dramatically decreases, due to the solubility of salts in the water and/or with the tablet. It forms a supersaturated solution and crystallizes the surface layer of calcium chloride salts on the tablet. When the temperature rises or there is more moisture in the air the process continues but at a slower rate than at the beginning. If the temperature is at a normal level it will work as usual. This is a normal process nothing is wrong with the product, it's just how calcium chloride responds to lower temperatures.

Pour the liquid into the sink or toilet its only brine (water with high salt content).

Clean and rinse with warm water. For stubborn stains it can be removed with solution of 5% (50g/litro) Glauber's salt (sodium sulfate), which is available in most pharmacies and / or drugstores. Spray the solution on the stain and let it sit for about 30 minutes. Dry the area with a hair dryer, radiator, etc. Repeat if necessary.

Compacting the calcium chloride salts ensures that the product does NOT absorbs moisture for many days (this causes the tablet to create a sponge effect) by immediately releasing the captured moisture; creating a quicker, efficient, effective results.

The pouch is extremely breathable which ensures that air has a perfect touch-pad, while making the product even more secure, to ensure you are at no time in contact with calcium chloride salts. It also ensures that the impurities are kept inside the bag keeping the product hygienic free.

In places where you have moisture problems or wherever you would like to avoid moisture issues. As a precaution place the product where it is out of the reach of children. To avoid accidents, do not place it in the middle of the way. Avoid direct contact with metal and leather with the crystal salts. What is the danger? If the moisture absorbed or crystal salts come in contact with the metal items for a long period of time, the metal will corrode. Similarly, this product may absorb moisture from the leather and would become hard and wrinkly.

Apart from the active crystals and calcium chloride it contains 0.5% of other substances (such as iron) which on rare occasions can produce a yellowish-brown tint; as well over time, by the product being continuously wet or damp captures the falling powder that produces a brownish colour.

Mold and mildew require a moist environment in order to thrive. Therefore, by removing excess moisture the mold and mildew can not grow.

If the pad is hard or swollen a bit, nothing is wrong, it will soon release the water into the container. (Please be patient, the water will start to form below). Sometimes this will take up to a month, or longer, depending on how much moisture is in the air; it also affects if there are low temperatures in the room (go to product life table).
